What's next for the WLC?
The WLC is expected to grow during the next five years, from the 14 nations served during the past two years to as many as 50 to 75 host countries. The WLC expects to place at least 125 volunteers a year by 2012.
In the fall of 2008, the WLC will launch the academic component of the service/learning program. This program, currently in advanced development, will connect the year of WLC service to a second year of academic work in international studies. Highly selective and drawing its students from all over the world, the WLC master's program will also include special attention to the 21st century challenges facing the global community and leadership values.
